how many guitar pickups for a cutsom made double neck?
im currently in the process of making a double neck guitar… its of my own design, and before i go out and spenf $400+ on 4 pickups, i want to know if 4 are neccesary, could i use 2 (1 for each set of strings), or would 2 for both be the best? ive been playing guitar for a while now, and have made basic guitars before, this is my first double neck attempt, wish me luck!
It’s your design, so it’s your call.
Personally, I’d have 2 on each neck (my double-necks are built like this). I would consider a neck pickup on the 12 string a necessity, but that’s just me.
What pickups are you installing. Four decent Seymour Duncans should run you about $300.
