Left Hand Guitars
Left or right hand on guitar?
I’m left handed normally and have tried to learn guitar by myself with a right handed guitar to no avail. Would it make a difference by buying a left handed guitar? Like I will start lessons but with right handed guitars I can barely get the notes right and my fingers slip alot. So being left handed would a left handed guitar be better for fingering?
Correction: Play Righty
Being a lefty has it’s rewards and advantages to right hand guitar player’s.
If you have not really played or gotten instructions to play, the advantage is yours. Like learning from scratch.
The reasoning to play right handed if you are a lefty is that of the advantage to you, because of the strength and control of your dominate hand.
You don’t need a brain nor a good hand to strum a guitar. Your focus is the fingering on the fret guitar. With right hand players, it takes time to coordinate the cords with fingers and because its the weak hand, it will take time. Unlike left hand players it becomes naturally because the strength is on the left hand and have the coordination and control.
