How To Wind Guitar Strings Acoustic

how to wind guitar strings acoustic
Need help tuning acoustic guitar?

I just need to get the open E note right and rest would be simplez.
But the problem i dont have tuner; no piano; and my computer speakers are busted so i dont even have an idea how it sounds.
So i unwound the 6th string completely. If someone could just tell me how many winds/ wounds/ rotations that would or could get me roughly to an open E. that would be really really helpful
Thanks

You’re not going to be able to determine if it’s in tune by the number of winds because it all depends how loose you have the string when you start winding and nobody is ever going to be able to accurately tell you that. If you still have other strings on, at least put the E back on and tune it to one you already have on there using the 5th fret approach. If you have no other instrument or speakers on your computer or tuning fork or anything, you’d have to tune it by ear which would require a good ear. Your best bet is to go buy a $20 Korg chromatic tuner.
