Guitar strings?

What is the best brand of electric guitar strings for staying in tune and lasting a long time?

I prefer Ernie Ball Hybrids (fatter on the low end) but more importantly, they shouldn’t stay in tune and last a long time!!! You should be wearing them out as quickly as possible from at least 6 hours a day of practice (or do you have somewhat of a life heh?)
The biggest key to them staying in tune (outside of how you treat/store your axe) is proper stretching when putting them on in the first place (unless your axe/tuners suck in which case, fix the problem.) by holding them with the right hand just before the saddles (to avoid breakage) while pulling them out and away from the neck with the left hand in 4 or 5 places up and down the neck. If onlookers don’t make faces like they are trying to suck a bowling ball through a straw, you ain’t stretching them far enough. Retune the string and repeat till it stops stretching. Get em all in shape and then play a while. Then go back and repeat on whatever strings are necessary.
here’s a tip… always wash your hands first before playing (sure you will) or at least when your hands are dirty/oily. When done playing, wipe them down again.
For really dirty strings, you can remove them and boil them in water to clean em up. Dry with a blowdryer to prevent water damage and re-apply. They won’t be like new but they will be better for a little while. (stolen from the bassists!! sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

almost forgot, got a Fender? Or damn near any other stock tremolo system? Forget about it staying in tune when used. If you want to really go there, get locking saddles with quick tuners, a locking nut, and install a Tremsetter in the back tremolo cavity. Now stuff goes back where it’s supposed to after you hit that subharmonic brown-note dive bomb!!

and just for the heck of it…music theory is very simple. It’s all E. It’s just moved around here and there, lol. peace bro
