Is it safe to check a guitar on an airplane?
I am flying from Illinois to North Carolina with my 7 and 3 year old girls. I would like to take my acoustic guitar on the trip. I don’t think I’ll be able to take it as a carry on being that I’ll have the kids with me and that really cuts down my mobility and sanity! Is it safe to check it if I loosen the strings and put extra padding in the case? Can I mark it as fragile for those crazy baggage handlers? Also what about the temp difference? How long should I let it sit in the case before I open it in NC?
yes you can chekc it in as long as you putit on a hard casing plug you tell the chekcing in lady that it is fagile they will be the one to put a sticker on it that say fragile
