Electric Guitar Strings Nickel Plated
buying new guitar strings?
okay, so i know this seems like a really weird/stupid question, but im tired of looking like a fool when i buy new guitar strings. what is like…the proper terminology when buying new guitar strings. like lets say i want nickel plated D’Aderio strings of a relatively light gauge. what do I ask for? like can i just say i want a pack of D’Aderio 9s if i want .09 gauge. will the guy have any idea what im talking about?
in other words, when your buying guitar strings, exactly what do you ask for? how do you phrase it?
and i know this sounds like a really really stupid question, but i have been playing guitar for like 8 years now, and every time i buy new strings the sales person treats me like im a stupid beginner who doesnt know anything about strings. i often get disregarded cause im a girl who plays electric guitar, and im tired of it. so i wanna make sure it actually sounds like i know what im talking about
Go to a different place and just ask for the 9′s that you want… I use 11s on my RG but i am a guy so maybe it is their perception of ppl so just have your guy friend go with you and the two of you dress up like Punk Rockers and talk with a British Accent and I bet they treat you totally different and do not question anything you have to say… LOL
