Help with buying suitable guitar strings?

I choose to buy heavy gauge strings because i like to play drop D, i was just wondering what are the differences between these strings and which are the best to use for a good heavy sound?

-Nickel Wound
-Pure Nickel
-Stainless Steel
-Reinforced Plain Steel
-Coated Electric

If you’re going to be tuning down a lot and playing metal you should get a heavier gauge string like 11′s or 12′s. The more expensive, coated ones last longer usually, but they all wear out as you play them. You will go through strings often enough and the differences between the materials don’t matter much, but try as many out as you can and find what you like.
