Dobro Guitar Strings On Ebay
are the strings raised on the hohner hr-200CE guitar?
i just bought this guitar off of ebay cause i thought the dobro style was awesome and i have been playing acoustic for not too long. i don’t intend to play lap guitar or slide just standard. i just thought having this guitar would give my playing a louder and more awesome sound. but as im waiting for it to be shipped i decided to research Dobro’s a little bit, and almost all square necks have the strings raised high over the finger board for slide playing. i REALLY don’t want this. i cant tell if it is or not, but can anyone tell me please? i just spent 205 bucks which i thought was a good deal but now i think i scr3wed myself over. is there any way to fix this if they are raised too?
No the strings on this guitar are not raised. It’s not a dobro. It’s a standard resonator style guitar. It will play just like an ordinary acoustic if it is set-up right.
