Classical Guitar Strings Low Tension

classical guitar strings low tension
Why does my guitar sound bad? Cheap strings?

I have a Fender CG-7 classical guitar. I bought it for a little over $100 in pretty good condition. But, it seems that ever since I replaced the strings (maybe even before, i don’t really remember) it just doesn’t sound that great when I play chords. It’s tuned fine and I can play the guitars at school fine (I think one of them at school is the same one I have) but the noise of me strumming the strings is a lot louder than it should be. I’m using the tip of my index finger and it’s fingernail. I’m growing my nails out, but the index finger nail isn’t very long. I know the strings I put on it were Classical D’addario strings. I think they were high tension, because they were out of mediums and the other one (either high or low). Any advice? Get new strings? What brand would you suggest?

try new strings… Try D’addario 9′s if its an electric you might have somthing wrong on the inside.. get it checked out
